About

l

I used to take my mom’s ribbons and tie them around my lower back thinking they’d look like the tail, and then take the little yellow plastic cricket bat on my shoulder, and jump around the house acting as the Indian god – Hanuman. Thats the first bit of acting I think I started with.

Growing up as a very shy child, it was in my 9th grade that I slowly started opening up to being on stage. Something that my parents wish had never happened.

Since the year 1997, its been a long journey with the performing arts. For the first few years I tried to balance it with my academics, but later I felt I was wasting time and was not giving enough to what is important for my career. So I quit college.

I was 20. I had no formal training in the arts. I was not considered born with talent. Many a times I felt what others were saying was true, that I really was just being impulsive. Thanks to the hardships that life and people around us offer, it kept me going.

I am glad that I did everything that I have done so far. Because it has let me be all of this  РActor, Director, Writer, Filmmaker, and a Human :-p

    Hello Pawan,
Just watched your movie ‘Lifu Ishtene’ today. The person sitting next to me was literally jumping of his seat with excitement, maybe be the scenes really got to him! lol :)
For me, it was a pretty descent movie. You really seemed to get that ‘narration’ style from Yograj Bhat,or at least that essence of it and that is a good thing. The movie showed quality every where, from the dialogues to the camera work to the overall pace of the movie all showing ‘Quality work’, which is rarely seen in most Kannada movies these days.
But, (yep, there’s always a ‘but’!) you may have lacked somewhere in the songs part. There was no song, that i could still come back home and hum a little. No such catchy tune(except the first song but that seemed very situational to the movie ).

P.S You also make a good actor! Could have seen you ‘on-screen’ too!

Hoping to see more movies from you.
    All the Best! :)

Hi Pawan, This is a great effort to promote Kannada movies without a lot of overhead and headache in distributing Kannada movies outside Karnataka, at the same time benefiting the industry.

One comment I have is that the “Demand Movies” section on Home talkies assumes that everyone who accesses the website is on facebook.

So, if I want to express interest in a particular movie, I have to have a facebook account. I personally do not have one nor do I want to get one, for whatever reason.

If you could provide a way to track the interests by allowing people to create an account on Home talkies, that would be a better way IMHO.

Also, it may help to allow the user to request a movie name to be listed if not already on your list. Obviously, it cannot be infinite:)

    Thanks.

    Shankara
