Workshop Reviews

After a very long time I got to conduct another workshop this weekend. Some of you must have been bombarded with emails and notifications about the workshop called ‘Theatre@24frames’… Thank you for spreading the word around.

We had 12 participants. On the first day we explored theatre, and films on the next day. I hope that the participants took back enough with them. Personally I seem to gain and grow every time I conduct these workshops. Interacting and answering questions opens up my mind in many ways and sometimes some questions help me clear my thoughts and beliefs too. I just hope that I didn’t brag too much about some of my works!!! It was a very enriching experience. I hope to do more of these workshops in the following months and make a team of short film makers.

I came in with no expectations….and took back a lot of things with me…..it was an enriching experience……Pawan with his genius skills showed some of his best and worst short movies hes directed …..the best part was why he would call them his worst movies and what should not be done to repeat them….
All in all a great weekend spent and looking forward put this into some good work !!

    Thanks Pawan…

I came with no expectations and took a lot of things with me….it was great to see Pawan sharing his theater experience. It was nice learning and enriching experience…It was nice to see some of his best short films and worst as well….the best part was why he treats them as his worst films and the reasons for doing it and not repeating them again….
All in all a great weekend spent……Thanks Pawan !!!

A good platform for all those who want to experiment tthemselves in theater and short films. A meeting place of young talents. Sharing of learnings, that life has taught, which no books can match. The workshop was evidently more than these.
I earnestly wish that the team of twelve may contribute each other and come out with many creations which all of us can be proud of.
Thanks Pavan, Sowmya and all my friends. …Biju George, Chennai

  5. Okay, first of all I was flipped about meeting an ACTOR (P is so down to earth..) and I took back tons in my brain (Like 180 degree camera angle [?!?]). Very good platform for me, as well ^_^ It was nice for me, meeting lots of people who share the same interests. It was kinda bad when it got over, I was like “that’s all?!” And I realised that tiny statement meant a whole lot in film making! (Oh and none of my classmates believed that I met P ! They were all – u met him and didn’t take his autograph ! – I was shocked !)
    Thanks a lot Pawan.. !! <:]

  6. OK, first of all it was an awesome experience for me meeting people who are not my age, but share the same interests. I took a lot in my brain! (Like camera angles !) And when it all got over, I was like ‘That’s all?’ and then I realised that it meant a lot in film making ! (Oh and none of the girls believed me when I told them that I met ‘that guy in manasaare’ ^_^ and they were all: you didn’t take his autograph !) But it was really really good for me ! <:]

  7. Am casted in premagaami movie so wanted know about the movie stuffs so registered pawan workshop, the fist day of workshop i entered the hall and pawan was on phone i said hi and went inside.
Its looked like pawan was reserved kind ? later i found he is different. After some time class started with some physical activity which bring my mind from sleeping mood to working…. Later pawan started the class explaining about story telling and the theater stuffs and small small assignments, in every assignment I was experiencing some new ideas of frame creation, my work in that frame, how I can improve the frame, what makes the frame bad, importance of the lighting in the theater, its totally about bringing our dream frames to reality frames.

Second day was about movie creations, really I enjoyed 2nd day he shown few creative movie clips to explain how people started their first movie and reached the top. How to make short movies, importance of it etc etc, its totally a good learning…Every words pawan spoke has some meaning and experience.

Thanks Pawan for all your words and sharings.
